Dr Pierre Somsé, Minister of Public Health and Population, Central African Republic. A public health specialist, he has overseen the country's partnerships with the Global Fund, GAVI, and the World Bank, focused on integrated primary health care delivery, decentralisation, and a strengthened supply chain and laboratory network. In 2025, he opened a new digital health partnership with Rwanda to help modernise CAR's health data systems.
